JSC Angarsk Petrochemical Company (OAO NK Rosneft's subsidiary) has launched production lines for new base oils: Rosneft Basic Grade 1,200N and 100BS. RN-Lubricants OOO has shipped the first batches of the new products to the consumers. These products are designed for production of motor oils for heavy-duty marine engines and locomotive engines, transmission, compressor and other high-viscosity oils with higher operational requirements.
It didn’t take long to prepare for the new production- it took only five months. Regulatory and technical requirements for the new grades have been developed, Rosneft Basic Grade oil production technology has been modified, as well as the standard operating procedures for the units.
Rosneft Basic Grade 1,200N and 100BS oils are characterized by deeper treatment, improved thermal-oxidative and environmental properties, good compatibility with other base oil groups and good acceptance of additives. Grade 1,200N and 100BS oils are high-viscosity oils with low coking behavior (0.60 %w. at most), low sulfur (0.5 % at most), high flash point (not lower than 240 °C and 270 °C respectively) and make production of commercial oils with higher performance characteristics possible.
Launching production lines for high-viscosity base oils, which are in stable and high demand in both domestic and global markets, including the promising Asia-Pacific region, by ANKhK OAO significantly improves the competitiveness of the products offered by Rosneft to the lubricants manufacturers, as well as optimizes the formulations of own ready-to-use oils. SN 1,200 and BS 100 production ensures maximum utilization of ANKhK production resources.

ANKhK OAO oil plant manufactures 108 commercial products with regard of grades and types. GK transformer hydro-cracking oil was awarded gold logos and other awards in the Top-100 Products of Russia competition held in 2014 . Rosneft Maximum SAE 5W-40 SL / CF, SAE 10W-40 SL / CF universal motor oil; М-14ДЦЛ20, М-14ДЦЛ30, М-16Е30 motor oils for diesel engines; Rosneft Kinetic SAE 75W-90, SAE 80W-90, SAE 85W-90 transmission oils; and МГ-15-В grade I and II hydraulic oil were awarded silver logos.
